Just recently this game had a collector's edition announced exclusively for the Square Enix online store (only 5,000) and while I have never played Drag-on Dragoon (Drakengard) nor Nier, I was quite skeptical of actually purchasing it, but after watching some game play I decided to take a risk. At times like these I am so grateful for my college Japanese classes, although it's not perfect (can't speak well, but can read and understand), I personally think the story is quite interesting, I heard it also gets way darker in the late game and as far as I'm concerned, that just adds more enjoyment for me. I love games that try to push boundaries regarding content and if this is what this game does, then I'm down.
All in all, I can't wait for this game to release and will try my best not to spoil the entire game for myself. Anyone that has played the first two and/or Nier, I would like to ask how good are these games in your opinion and if anyone has picked up a Japanese import version of the game, how dark does it really get?
